Charleston, along with only the cities of Bellevue and Dallas, was selected from a list of 38 potential locations to host a regional impact gathering. Regional area business leaders will have an opportunity to connect with fellow executives and learn from accomplished business and leadership experts when the 2026 Convene Carolina Regional Gathering comes to the Harbour Club at WestEdge on Thursday, November 12.
Hosted by Charleston Convene Chair Bea Wray, the event brings together business owners, CEOs, exceptional university students, and key non-profit leaders for a day focused on improving business performance, strengthening leadership, and making a lasting difference through their work.
Newly appointed Convene CEO Ben Peays welcomes attendees to “Step away from the day-to-day activities and be with other business owners dealing with the same issues you are ... (who are) looking forward to getting to know you and hearing your story.”
With the theme "Accelerate Results + Impact," the gathering will address several of the challenges facing business leaders today, including attracting and retaining outstanding employees, navigating the rapidly changing world of artificial intelligence, developing healthy organizational cultures, strengthening financial resilience, and leading with greater purpose.
The event will also explore the relationship between Christian faith and business leadership, including how business owners can use their organizations to serve others and make a meaningful impact beyond the bottom line.
Wray, a Charleston-based executive facilitator, author, Charleston Southern University Entrepreneurship Professor, and professional keynote speaker, has served as a Convene chair since 2021. Through her work with Convene, she facilitates confidential peer-advisory teams where business owners and CEOs help one another navigate challenges, identify opportunities, and grow as leaders.
The November 12 gathering expands that opportunity for connection and learning to business leaders throughout the region.
