Joseph DeLeon

Joseph DeLeon is president and CEO of Roper St. Francis Healthcare (RSFH), a leading Lowcountry health system. With over 30 years of senior leadership experience, he is known for operational excellence, financial stewardship, and expanding access to high-quality care. Since joining RSFH in 2024, he has advanced major initiatives to broaden clinical services, enhanced trauma capabilities, and added pediatric programs for the growing Charleston region. DeLeon oversees 6,800 teammates, a 350-provider medical group, and an effective ACO. He is directing $1.7 billion in expansion projects, including the new Roper Hospital, which is expected to add 600 health care jobs, generate 3,600 construction jobs, and drive a $2.5 billion economic impact. Previously, he led Texas Health Harris Methodist hospitals and began his career in the U.S. Air Force Medical Service Corps.
