MUSC Awarded Grant From Telehealth Centers of Excellence

The Medical University of South Carolina has been awarded a $4.25 million grant from Telehealth Centers of Excellence.

The grant, one of two awarded in September 2026 by the Health Resources & Services Administration, will help MUSC to develop, test, and evaluate telehealth models that contribute to the evidence base and expand access to high-quality telehealth services across the nation.  The other grant went to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

The COEs expand access to care and strengthen rural health systems for populations with limited access to services. By implementing innovative telehealth approaches, they produce actionable data and share evidence-based resources, practical tools, peer-reviewed publications, and policy-relevant findings.
